Christmas Time...

So, I couldn't find my camera for most of the time in Atwood (I ended up finding it in my car on Christmas afternoon). Here are a few pictures....more to come when mom sends them to me (from her camera).

We went to Eunice's house for Christmas dinner. Raly is holding her American Girl Doll that she got from Grandma and Grandpa....doll still not named!
Saturday night we went bowling. Reese and Miles had a blast! Owen was very serious about his bowling, and Raly (who ended up winning) pouted the entire game because she thought she was losing!! UGGGGHHH.

Reese playing Guitar Hero.

Zoo Lights

Rhett had something going on with friends, so John and Jodie invited the kids and I to go with them to Zoo Lights. John, being the trooper that he is, volunteered to ride in the back. It ended up being quite an adventure. After driving nearly the entire way around the zoo before finding a parking spot, we were bundling up when we (the car) were hit by a Forerunner attempting to parallel park. We were all equally stunned when the car proceeded to drive away! Jodie called 911 and after an hour of waiting for a police officer, Jodie and I caught up with the rest of group...still in line to buy tickets to enter the zoo! John said that Raly and Reese behaved in line, what's your guess??? Raly and Reese waiting in line!
So, we finally make it in and we are all freezing! The lights were amazing, but we zoomed through the zoo in 30 minutes and then raced back to the car to warm up. Note to self: don't wait until the last Saturday night before Christmas to go to Zoo Lights.

Thanks for the adventure, John and Jodie!

Gingerbread Cookies

Jodie gave the kids cookies to decorate. They seemed to enjoy decorating as much as they enjoyed eating them...even Reese!

MONSTER TRUCKS!!!

Rhett took Reese to the monster truck show! Reese was fascinated!

Christmas Tree

Last year, we started a new tradition: finding and cutting down our own tree.

How about this one?

Or this one?

After an hour of hunting, we found it! It seemed like the perfect one....

until we got home. It's huge, almost an inch from our vaulted ceiling! But, the kids loved it and now we know that we need to measure the tree before cutting it down. When you are in the forest, your perspective is a little warped.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Manhattan. As usual, we all had a great time. Christi took family pictures while we were in Manhattan. Thank you!

Reese spent hours driving the rhino. Grandad had a key made just for Reese and Raly received a key to the golf cart. It was definitely the highlight of the trip for Reese.
Grandma took Raly, Dedra, Owen, and I to Topeka for Disney on Ice. Owen and Raly really enjoyed the show and each other!
Reese, Grandad, and Rhett drove to Fort Riley to look at some gigantic cannons. Reese loved it.
