Pictures from Miss Debbie

So, we have been a little a slow in getting 3 year pictures of Reese. Here are a few pictures that Debbie took recently. Miss Debbie is Raly and Reese's babysitter and she loves photography.

Grandma Connie's Visit While Guys Fished in Alaska

We kept quite busy while Grandad and Daddy fished in Alaska. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me very often. Grandma and Grandad got to see the kids in their gymnastics class before they left for Alaska. It's always entertaining to watch them tumble. Grandma took the kids to the movie, ICE AGE, and Raly really enjoyed it. Once Reese was out of food, he kept asking to go to the bathroom. One day, we drove to Tabernash to visit Bob and Mary Shoop. They live near this lake and the kids a great time finding big rocks to throw into it. We also drove into Winter Park to go down the Alpine Slide and play Miniature Golf. It was a really fun day. We all had a great time until the drive home when Raly got car sick and we ran into traffic so we had to listen to her cry and complain about not feeling well for an additional 30 minutes. All in all, it was worth it! One night, Raly made dinner from her Rachel Ray Cookbook...Pasta, Cheese, and Trees. Everyone liked it, including Grandma (at least that's what she said).

First Family Camping Trip

Our first camping trip with our friends/neighbors was a huge success. The kids and Todd loved it...Raly didn't like the three hour drive though. Reese loved playing in the dirt and throwing rocks. He said that is favorite part was eating marshmallows (about 15 of them) right out of the bag. Raly loved the campfire and our tent. Todd did a great job of staying close by. The view we had was outstanding. We hope to go again before the weather turns cold.

Swimming at Westridge Rec. Center

Raly swimming to the side after going down the slide.

Here she is going off the slide for the 15th time.
Auntie Em is in town for an appointment so she "got" to go swimming, too. The kids (and I) loved it...another free swimming lesson.

Thanks again, Auntie Em.

Our Week in Atwood

Raly and Reese had swimming lessons from Auntie Em while we were in Atwood. However, on Tuesday, we drove to Goodland for lessons. Reese was in heaven because of the slide. He probably went down at least 50 times. Raly jumped off the board and swam to the side all by herself! Thank you, Auntie Em, for helping the kids learn to swim!

While we were in Goodland, we had dinner with Uncle Josh while he was on duty. Although Reese really wanted to drive his car, he was happy to get to sit in the passenger seat while wearing the trooper hat. Now, Reese is telling us he wants to be a policeman when he's a grown-up...much better choice than a dancer!
Reese is learning to swim, too.

Lake Atwood is full of water!! Grandma and Grandpa borrowed a paddle boat from Steve and Anita. Reese loved "driving"...big surprise! We also had a picnic by the lake...complete with S'mores!

Playing on the Slide and Splash in the front yard. What fun!

4th of July in Manhattan

We all had a great time in Manhattan, including Todd. He and Bart played constantly. The weather was great, until the fireworks show, which got rained out! Raly was lucky enough to go shopping on two different occasions with Aunt Brandi. According to Raly, Aunt Brandi is the better shopper. Some how, Raly's money goes a looooong way with Brandi????? Besides all the typical fun at Grandma and Grandad's (e.g. seeing Great Grandad and Great Grandma (and this time Aunt Carol, too), driving the rhino and the golf cart, eating Grandad's Doritos for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner, playing in their own rooms without Mom or Dad, gambling on the slot machine), Grandma rented a Castle Bounce House. Although it rained quite a bit while we had it, the kids loved it. Clark and Christi also let the kids swim in their backyard pool. The kids swam like fish and Daddy was in the water swimming with them (thanks Rhett). Raly jumped off the board countless times and both were grumpy when it was time to leave two hours later!

Thanks for the great memories, Grandma, Grandad, and Aunt Brandi!

Thanks for the great haircut, Phil!

Father's Day

For Father's Day we drove to the mountains to fish and hike near the town of Pine. The kids enjoyed "fishing" the most, but they did a great job on the hike. Todd enjoyed the day also (except for the car ride-he threw up all of his breakfast).
