Fun with Cousins

The kids and I spent the weekend in Atwood. Adam and Dedra were there to celebrate Adam's 15th highschool reunion so Raly and Reese had a great weekend playing with Owen and Miles. Since the weather was great, we had fun playing outside.

Mother's Day

Here's our front yard after a trip to Arapahoe Nursery. I have really been wanting a tree in our front yard so for Mother's Day I got to pick out the one that I wanted. We spent about 3 hours looking for it and some perennials. When we got home, we spent about another 3 hours planting (and pulling out some bushes that we've despised since we've moved in). Thanks to our neighbors' help, we were able to get it done before bed time. I'm a happy mom!

Raly's Music Program

Raly had a music performance at Highland where she as been attending preschool for the last two years. In August, she will start Kindergarten at Copper Mesa, our neighborhood school. She has made many friends at Highland.....it has been a great two years for her.

Raly's favorite song was The Green Jelly Bean. The next time you see her, ask her to sing it for you. It's very cute!

Fun in Ewards with Grandma Connie

Grandma Connie invited us to spend last weekend in Edwards with her in a duplex she had rented (on an elite golf course). It was beautiful. The following pictures were taken while we were in Edwards (a town in the mountains just East of Vail and Avon).



Reese had just finished his bath. He is sooooo ornery and you can just see "it" in this picture.

Raly was dancing to a song on the TV.

It was a long, hard day of playing. The kids watched the movie Bolt while sitting with Grandma.

Rhett and I found a cheap alternative to a babysitter....Todd's kennel! The kids had a blast being "locked up."

A great park was just a short walk across the golf course. Todd had his first swinging experience. I'm not sure that he enjoyed it as much as Rhett?????

Raly showed Grandma how she has accomplished the monkey bars!

Thanks for a great weekend Grandma. We had a great time. Raly especially loved hunting for treasures on our walk and Reese had fun being ornery all weekend long.
