Grandma Connie's Here!

Shortly after Connie got here (safely, I should add, since she had to take a detour due to multiple funnel clouds/tornadoes near I-70), we headed to the local carnival. The kids got to pick four rides as it seemed quite expensive. Reese was funny; he didn't know what to think of it all. He walked around in amazement at first. In this picture, he was staring at a small dragon roller coaster.
The four wheeler was their first ride. They both enjoyed it.
After the ferris wheel and an elephant ride, they decided on the train.
Then, we had burgers at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It's our new Sunday night favorite often with our neighbors, Jon, Jodie, Pallen, and Connor. I think Connie liked it even though they got her order wrong (they left off the onions). Reese likes the (free) peanuts best of all. In fact, that's about all he eats...along with his soda (a.k.a "beer"), he's in seventh heaven.

When we got home, Connie and Raly went for a walk and Reese and I played while Rhett made his lunches for the week (five peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that he takes out of the freezer each morning). He's sure easy to please when it comes to food. For dinner (a.k.a "supper"), he'd be thrilled to eat a peanut butter and honey sandwich.

I love all the new pictures. When can we get together? I miss you so much. Are you guys going to be in Manhatten or Atwood this summer?
